I said it at launch. The 4k promise was way to ambitious. But if you're like me and mostly fall back to indie games the steam machine will probably serve you well.

You guys are not seeing the big picture: Valve knows that fan boys are still going to buy at this initial price. Once they have milked all those early buyers they will drop the price for the mass audiences. Mark my words as this is current market trends 101.

as i said before... valve don't have luck with the steam machines.
we all know how the first ones ended.
and now... they are yet again f***d by other parties. and while the previous time a better approach may have saved things, or just avoided the crash. now... they are basically out of options.
