3:23 how did that cord snap? Did they cut it? You don’t lose communication with a cord directly to the comms.

Stockton Rush was an arrogant sod. He’s essentially a murderer. I feel so bad for that kid and his dad.

Composite pressure vessels is patently INSANE. They made them to see if it would work, not becuase it was a good idea. They wanted to look smart rather than do the right thing, which is to NOT MAKE YOUR PRESSURE VESSEL THAT CONTAINS HUMAN LIVES OUT OF RESIN AND FIBER

If the titanium ring and carbon fiber hull compressed at different rates, it could have compromised the glue holding them together. I could also see different compression rates causing the composite layers to shear at the layer line.

Interesting use of the monkey fist knot, never thought about it before, but how turbulent is the water down there? The cam vehicle seems to getting tossed about a bit..

Cool and all, but this seems purely academic. Its not gonna exonerate any1, its not gonna uncover how did the ppl die and it wont add any insights to submarine building
@SG-dg6oi Sep 19, 2024
Where are the bodies!?
@MatthewHill Sep 19, 2024
What a damned shame.

Watch Limiting factor docu. That, if how you build a submersible.

Pretty sure it’s the opposite. Noise was in the aft then boom massive decompression hence the pile trying to get sucked out the aft section. It wasn’t the CF that failed first
