Most people know that trimming and declawing are different. But a lot donāt realise they can absolutely need their nails if they canāt maintain it themselves. We adopted a stray that only ever scratched in the house once (we didnāt know much about cats so he didnāt have a post, he just did it outsiā¦

That is entirely too short. You're just supposed to trim the sharp bit at the end, not the whole darned thing.

Tbh, my 3 cats are great about using their scratch stuff. I never really have issues with nails. Just my oldest cat sometimes.
