Here we go. Looks like I am going to have to be the party pooper. Even though it looks nice, making it out of flammable materials is a big no-no, especially if you have a gas range. This is a potential fire hazard. In any case, the wood will degrade quickly as it is exposed to steam and grease. …

Only critique I’d give is use metal if you can for a vent hood. That’s a lot of combustible material right above the stove. I could reference the code but I’m not gonna be that guy
