The movie appears to be more of a comedy. Personally I would have loved it if they made it into a drama instead. Maybe “play up” the rivalry with Noll and the Steelers. Probably would have been a too hard of a sell since Madden was so well liked.

Sounds like Nicholas Cage. How he get this role, Madden voice was his most distinctive feature. He must have funded the movie to get this part.
Bale is perfect for Al Davis.
