Here in New York that’s generally NOT the case. However, as a TAL accredited VAO, I’m scheduling three weeks out. Pnonecalls and emailed forms take up a very large part of my day. If I schedule four vets or spouses in one day, phone calls and emails put me over the top!

This is all good info, HOWEVER, I wish everyone luck in finding an accredited VSO in your area. I'm a VFW member, but did not receive a single response to 6 different requests to the VFW for assistance with my initial claims. The next 7 VSO's I contacted from the VA list either declined to assist…

Filed a pact act claim for lung cancer. Denied, not service connected. VA has to actually follow its rules. Diagnosis was provided, shouldn't need a vso for a clear cut claim.

The presenter overlooks one of the best assets for Veterans- VA Agents or attorneys. We have the legal training to win and our success rates are way higher. VSOs are not trained in the law-just how to fill out the forms and lick the envelope.
